Type of Bihar Ration Card
The Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, Govt. of Bihar released the Bihar Ration Card to citizens of Bihar state. Households use the ration Card to purchase of wheat, Rice, Carosin and other food grains & supplies from the Public Distribution System on subsidized rates. The BSFC Bihar has released four of ration Cards to households like BPL, APL, AAY, and Annapurna.
BPL Ration Card
Below poor Line (BPL) Cards have been issued to the citizens of the Bihar Govt. whose income is less than Rs. 24000/- per annum and are below the poverty line. BPL Ration Card is available in red.
APL Ration Card
Above Poverty Line (APL) have been issued to people of the Bihar State whose income is more than Rs 24000/- per annum and are above the poverty line. APL Ration Card is available in Blue.
AAY Ration Card
AAY (Anthyodaya Anna Yojana) Rations card is issued the poorest of the poor citizens of Bihar State. The AAY Ration Cards are in Yellow Color.
Annapurna Ration Cards
The State Government has issued the Annapurna Ration Cards to old-age pensioners of the State.
