The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has conducted “Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2021”. Students will take admission in Class IX, IX and XI through JNVST 2021. We have updated the details about JNV Admission notification. Children have to clear the JNV Selection Test for admission purposes.

The Authority has conducted the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2020 for admission in 6th, 9th & 11th Classes. The JNV Selection Test for Class-VI was held on 11th January 2020 and 11th April 2020 (Postponed).  JNVST Admission Form 2021 JNV Selection Test Notification

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti conducts the JNV Selection Test every year. The JNVST will be held for admission into Class-VI, Class-IX and Class-XI. There are 661 Jawahar Navodaya Schools in India. The Admission process in all JNVs is made through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test. In this article students see the eligibility for JNV Admission, Seat Reservation, Counselling, Result, and JNVST Test Pattern.

The JNV Selection Test 2021 will be held for 100 Marks. The paper will be made from mental Ability, Arithmetic, and language subjects. Candidates have to secure good marks for admission in JNVs region wise.

 Eligibility Criteria for JNVST Class 6 Admissions 2021

All candidates should check the eligibility for the NVS Admission process. They are required to read the eligibility requirements if want to apply for NVS Selection Test 2021 for class6, Class-9, and Class-11. Therefore they check JNVST Admission Form Eligibility Criteria for admission to NVS in Classes-VI, IX & XI followings-

Class-VI: Students must be of the age group 9 to 13 years for all categories. Students must have passed 5th Class from recognized Board. He should have not appeared in JNVST Test earlier.

Class-IX: The age of students should be between 13 to 16 years as on 01.05.2021. They must have qualified Class 8th from government recognized board.

Class-XI: Aspirants must be of age between 14 to 18 years as on 1st July of the year of admission. Must have qualified class X from a recognized board. They must have reasonable competency in English and Hindi.

The JNVST Application process for JNV 6th Class Admission is completely free. There is no application fee is charged from any of the students.

JNV 6th Class Admission – Seat Reservation

In this section, aspirants read the Reservation for Rural, SC/ST, Girls & Disabled Children-

  • At least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates selected from rural areas and remaining seats will be filled up from the urban areas of the district.
  • There is a provision for reservation of seats for SC and ST candidates in proportion to their population in the district but not less than the national average
  • 1/3 of the seats are reserved for girl students.
  • There is a provision for reservation of 3% seats for disabled children (i.e. Orthopedically Handicapped, Hearing Impaired and Visually Handicapped).

Navodaya Admission Selection Process

The JVS announces JNVST Admission Form 2021 for admission to Class IV, IX and XI. The JNV Admission to NVS is mainly done on the basis of selection test and merit.

JNVST Selection Test

For JNV Admission to Class IV and Class IX are made strictly on the basis of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). All the students who want to get admission to JNVs have to appear and qualify JNVST. After the completion of the entrance test, conducting authority and qualify JNVST.

Class 11 Lateral Entry

No selection test is conducted for admission to class XI. Admission to class XI in JNVs is done through lateral entry. Candidates are selected on the basis of merit which is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in class X.

Candidates have to submit the JNVST Admission Form 2021 through online mode. There is no other mode of JNVST Application Form. Aspirants must check JNV Selection Test Notification. The detailed and intensive verification of proofs for residence, Eligibility, age etc will be done for successful students through the laid down procedure. At the time of filling the JNV Admission online form, candidates must fill a valid E-Mail ID and mobile number. The process of filling JNVST Admission Form using below steps-

Procedure to register online for JNV Selection Test 2021-

  • The process for submission of application for the JNV Selection Test has been simplified through the online process. Registration can be done free of cost through the admission portal of NVS linked throughwww.navodaya.gov.in
  • The eligible candidates have to fill up the online form and upload the certificate issued by the Head Master/Principal where the candidate is studying in class V with the photograph along with signatures of both candidates and his/her parent/guardian.
  • In the case of candidates from NIOS, candidates should obtain `B’ certificate and residence should be in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.
  • The online platform is in open source and free of cost. The application may be submitted from any source like desktop, laptop, mobile, tablet, etc.

Required Documents for JNVST Class 6 Admission 2021

Students are required to report the allotted school for verification of all the certificates and documents on the specified dates. They are also needed to verify their documents for NVS Admission for Class VI, IX and XI.

  • Address/residence proof
  • Age proof- Birth certificate for class VI & IX and for class XI, mark sheet of class X is considered as age proof.
  • Certificate of caste and category issued by the competent authority (in case of SC/ST candidates)
  • Relevant certificate if the candidate applies for admission under Rural Category.
