General Knowledge & Current Events – Culture and Religion, Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland Harbours, Freedom Movement, Sports: championships/ Winners/ Terms /No. of Players, Defence, Wars and Neighbours, Current Affairs, Important National Facts about India, Heritage and Arts, Dance, History, Languages, Capitals and Currencies, National: Bird/ Animal/ Sport/ Flower/ Anthem/ Song/ Flag/ Monuments, Eminent Personalities, Common Names, Full forms and Abbreviations, Discoveries, Diseases and Nutrition, Award and Authors.

BPSSC Range Officer Syllabus for General Hindi –

General Hindi Will Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test

General Science – General Science will include Questions of knowledge test of matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject. Knowledge of the Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will also be Included.

BPSSC Range Officer Syllabus for Mental Ability Test –

The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, etc.

BPSSC Forest Range Officer Exam Pattern 2021

Exam Pattern of both the papers is given below

The Exam will be Written Objective Type.

There will be Two Papers in the Exam.

Paper – I

  • Paper, I will be of General Hindi
  • There will be a question paper carrying 50 questions.
  • 02 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. So the test will be of Total 100 marks.
  • The time duration will be 01:00 hours (60 minutes).
  • There will be a Negative Marking of 0.2 marks for each and every wrong answer.
  • Minimum 30 % Marks are compulsory in Paper 1.

  • The time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
  • There will be a Negative Marking of 0.3 marks for each and every wrong answer.

  • In The Interview, The Overall Personality, Knowledge Of Subjects, Information On Current Affairs, Creative And Positive Qualities Of The Candidates Will Be Evaluated And Their Suitability To Work In The Department Of Environment, Forest And Climate Change Will Be Evaluated.
  • The interview will be of 50 Marks.
  • The final Merit List will be made on the basis of marks in the Interview & Written Exam.
