As we discussed already, the selection consists of many phases like Tier-I (First Phase) and Tier-II (Second Phase) and Scrutiny of Documents. Aspirants whose applications are found correct in all respect will be called for a written test i.e. Tier-1. Depending upon the number of candidates, Tests will be organized at any convenient venue mentioned in the Admit Card. First Phase Exam Pattern
The written test will be the Tier-I test for all 1837 posts. The Test will be held on the subjects for the above-given posts. Candidates have to solve the Question Paper in 2 hours. The exam will carry 100 Objective type questions and each question will carry one mark. First phase test will be of 100 Marks. There will be negative marking and ½ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Assam Agriculture Dept Second Phase Test Pattern 2024
After the 1st phase test, a merit list will be made for each category for both Male and females on the basis of total marks scored in the written Exam. Applicants will be called for the Second phase Test in order of Merit at the rate of 4 times the number of posts allotted in respect of each cadre Y Category wise.
If the total number of qualifying aspirants turns out to be less than 4 times per number of posts, all qualifying candidates but no other will be called for the second phase test. If aspirants score the same marks in the written exam as the last candidates selected for Second phase test by the 4 times formula in a particular case, they scoring the same marks will be also called for 2nd phase. And therefore, the number may exceed 4 times to that extent for the particular case and category only.
The Second phase test will be a computer-based exam to test the knowledge of the posts applied and proficiency in computer operations and a Shorthand test for those candidates who have applied for the post of Stenographer and Steno-Typist.
