The National Testing Agency has organized the National Eligibility Test-December 2023. Every Year, UGC NET conducts for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship under the University Grants Commission. Recently, NTA has invited Online Applications from 30 September to 28 October 2023. Approximately, 8 lakh students have applied for UGC NET-December 2023. The National Eligibility Test was conducted for 83 Subjects in 186 selected cities across the country. UGC NET Merit List 2023
The NTA UGC NET merit list will release after the cut-off marks by the National Testing Agency. The merit list will contain all the shortlisted candidates who have cleared the minimum cut-off marks in an examination. The top 15% of candidates from the merit list will be selected for the Assistant Professor from each category and subject. A separate UGC NET merit list will be prepared from the qualified candidates for JRF. Procedure and Criteria for NTA NET Result Declaration
The number of aspirants to be qualified shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both the papers NET. The total slots shall allocate to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.
In order to be consider for “JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor” and for ‘Assistant Professor’, the aspirant must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for the General/ Gen-EWS categories candidates and at least 35% for reserved categories.
