पंजाब पुलिस विभाग में 288 सब इंस्पेक्टर के पदों पर कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा दिनांक 20 जून से 31 जुलाई 2023 तक आयोजित हुई है। परीक्षा में तीन पेपर है, पेपर-I में 100 प्रश्न एवं प्रत्येक उत्तर के लिए 04 अंक होंगे। वही पेपर- II में 100 प्रश्न होंगे जिनमें से प्रत्येक में चार (04) अंक होंगे। पेपर 3 क्वालीफाइंग नेचर का होगा जो पंजाबी भाषा का है जिसमे 50 प्रश्न पूछे गए है। इस प्रकार अभ्यर्थियों को पेपर 1 & पेपर 2 के कुल 800 अंको में से न्यूनतम अंक प्राप्त करने होंगे।
चयन प्रक्रिया के अगले चरण के लिए प्रत्येक पेपर I और II में अलग-अलग एससी, बीसी, ईडब्ल्यूएस और एक्स-एस श्रेणियों से संबंधित उम्मीदवारों को न्यूनतम 35% अंक प्राप्त करने की आवश्यकता होगी और अन्य श्रेणियों को न्यूनतम 40% अंक प्राप्त करने की आवश्यकता होगी।
