The State Eligibility Test for determining the Eligibility of a candidate for Assistant Professor in the universities and colleges of UT of J&K (JKSET) and UT of Ladakh (LASET). It is jointly conducted by the University of Jammu as Nodal SET Agency. The Agency will conduct JKSET/LASET (2023) in 38 Subjects at three centers- Jammu, Srinagar and Leh.

Jammu Kashmir SET 2023 Selection Process
Every year, Jammu University finds eligibility for Assistant Professor and lecturer Posts through JKSET/LASET. Recently, the university has invited online Applications for the State Eligibility Test for UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. A huge number of aspirants have applied for J&K SET Entrance Test between 05 May to 05 June 2023. After that, those candidates will call for an Entrance Exam whose Applications are found correct in all respects.
According to the latest Update, the State Eligibility Test of J&K and Ladakh will conduct on 1st October 2023. Likewise, the Exam has two papers and the First paper shall be Common for subjects. JK SET Exam Pattern 2023
First Paper shall consist of 50 Objective Type Compulsory Questions each carrying 2 Marks. The Questions which will be of General Nature, Intended to assess the Teaching, Research Aptitude of the candidate, It will Primarily design to test Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, divergent thanking and general awareness of the aspirant.
Whereas, Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 Marks which will be based o the subject selected by the examinee. Therefore, it is eqully important to cover all important topics from JKSET Syllabus for Paper-1 and Paper-2.
Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective-type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. It is compulsory for candidates to appear in both papers. A candidate who does not appear in Paper-I, will not be permitted to appear in Paper-II.
