CEED Syllabus 2023 IITB Common Entrance Exam for Design Exam Pattern
IIT Bombay is conducting the Common Entrance Exam for Design 2023 to find eligibility for admission into M.Des. and Ph.D Programs at all IITs. Many students have registered for CEED Entrance Exam and they are now searching Latest Syllabus. The CEED 2023 will be held on Sunday 22 January 2023 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. This test will consist of two parts, Part-A and Part B. Students must attempt questions from both Parts. Par-A Constains objective questions of three types: NUmberical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Multiple Select Questions (MSQ). NAT & MSQ Questions carry 3 Marks and MCQ Questions Carry 2 Marks. Whereas Part-B consists of five questions that are aimed at testing design, drawing and writing skills.

Common Entrance Exam for Design Pattern 2023
The Common Entrance Examination for Design is scheduled to be held on 22 January 2023 through a computer-based test. The paper pattern has two parts i.e. Part-A, Part-B. Part-A contains questions of multiple select types and numerical answer types and Part-B will contain drawing-based questions. Both parts will be 100 Marks each. There is 25% weightage of marks will be given in Part-A and 75% weightage to part B.

IIT Bombay CEED Syllabus 2023 Part A & Part B
Part-A of the CEED Syllabus consists topics from Visualization and spatial ability, Environmental and social awareness, Analytical and logical reasoning, Language and creativity, Design thinking and problem solving and Observation and design sensitivity. Whereas CEED Part B Syllabus consists topics from Drawing, Creativity, Communication Skills and Problem Identification Skills.
Part – A
Visualization and Spatial Ability – Pictorial and diagrammatic questions, transformation and manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D, objects and their spatial relationships
Environmental Awareness – Participants need knowledge about climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, natural resources, etc., and their implications on the design of products, images, infrastructure, and environment
Social Awareness – Awareness of design terminologies, social and cultural connection with the design, history of the designed artifact, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses. History of art, sculpture, and literature
Analytical and Logical Reasoning – Candidates need to have awareness about Puzzles, Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and Analytical Reasoning
Language And Creativity – General English, Synonyms, Antonyms, Prepositions Sentence, Completion Active and Passive Voice, Spelling Test, Spotting Errors, Passage Completion, Substitution, Sentence Arrangement, Transformation, Idioms and Phrases, Sentence Improvement, Para Completion, Joining Sentences, Error Correction (Underlined Part), Error Correction (Phrase in Bold)
Design Thinking and Problem Solving – Aspirant should have analyzed the context, the users, and the constraints and select the most appropriate solution for the problem
Observation and Design Sensitivity – Applicants should detect concealed properties in the day to day life and think critically about them. Ability to discern subtle differences in visual properties and aesthetic outcomes

Drawing – Candidates should have skills to draw products, people, or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading
Creativity – Able to think out of the box and come up with unique as well as diverse solutions
