Assam Forest Guard Syllabus 2023 SLPRB Forester Exam Pattern
Good News for candidates who are preparing for Forest Guard, Forester, Driver, or Stenographer Examination. Recently State Level Police Recruitment Board Assam published a Notification for 1081 vacancies. Candidates have to undergo a Physical Fitness Test/ Written Test/ Practical Test. There will be two tests for Recruitment of all the posts (i) First Phase Test and (ii) Second Phase Test. For Forester & Forest Guard, candidates will go in Physical Standard Test (PST) and then the authority will organize Physical Fitness Test (First Phase Test). The Second Phase Test for Forester-I & Forest Guards will be a Written Test.

Physical Efficiency Test

Candidates, who qualify Physical Standard Test, will proceed to PET. The Physical Efficiency Test will be 40 marks. It will have 2 (two) events via

Candidates who will be shortlisted will have to appear in the PST (Physical Standard Test). After this, you will have to proceed to Height, Weight, and Chest Measurement (Chest measurement is only for males). The candidate will be examined by a Medical Officer for preliminary check-ups like Knocked Knee, Vision Test, Color Blindness Test, Flatfoot, Vision Test, Physical Deformities, Varicose Vein, etc. Once an Aspirant qualifies for the Physical Standard Test, he/she will have to appear in the next Phase i.e. Trade Efficiency Test in their respective trade.
Driving Test (Skill Test) For Driver Constable, Driver Posts
After all, aspirants will be called for the Driving Test (Skill Test) in order of merit based on marks scored in PET at the rate of 10 times the total posts allotted in respect of each category.
- Light Transport vehicle from rest on the level up gradient and down Gradient: – 1 Marks
- Gear changing up & down – 1 Mark
- Road sense, general driving, control of the vehicle in all conditions of traffic & steering control, anticipation & Judgment – 2 Marks
- Use of brakes, stopping, parking, reversing of vehicle – 1 Mark
- Following Road Police Signals / Traffic Signals – 1 Mark
- Carry out minor repairs & attend to breakdown problems – 1.5 Marks
- Motor Vehicle Mechanism Knowledge – 1.5 Marks
- Preventive maintenance Knowledge – 1 Marks
Written Test

Candidates who qualify in Physical Test (PET/ PST) will be called for Written Test in order of merit at the rate of 5 times the total posts allotted in respect of each category.
Assam Forest Guard Exam Pattern 2023
- The written Exam will be Objective Type
- There will be 100 multiple Choice Type Questions
- Time Duration to solve the question paper is 03 Hours.
- The Questions Paper will be in the following languages such as Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/English.

Walking Test for Forester Grade-I & Forest Guard
Candidates who appeared in the Written Test for the posts of Forester Grade-I & Forest Guard will have to attend a Walking Test comprising 26 K.Ms (for males) and 16 K.Ms (for females) to be covered within 4 hours. The Walking Test will be qualifying nature only and it will carry no marks.
