Aspirants are required to score minimum marks in the two papers taken together. Now as per UGC’s changed criteria, applicants need to obtain minimum aggregate marks in all subjects. The merit list will be prepared consisting of the name of selected candidates as per the Advertisement.

HP SET Exam Pattern 2022
Himachal State Eligibility Test shall conduct in two papers i.e. Paper-I & Paper-II. The first paper shall carry 50 Questions and each question carry 2 Marks. So overall marks for SET Paper-1 are 100. Whereas in Paper II, there will be 100 questions be asked for 200 Marks. Candidates have to solve Paper-I in 1 hour (60 Minutes) and Paper-II in 2 hours (120 Minutes).
The Exam Pattern for the HPPSC SET is as Follows –
- The exam will be Objective Type.
- There will be 2 Papers.
- There is No Negative Marking.
HP SET Exam Scheme
Paper I (Common for all Candidates)
- Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type questions.
- Each question will carry 2 marks.
- The question paper – I will be bilingual.
- Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper-II
- Paper-II is for the subjects selected by the applicant. All the remaining papers are in English only except Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu, and Urdu.
- Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.
- Each question will carry 2 marks.
