UPSC Geo-Scientist Result 2022 – Geologist Exam Cut off Marks 

The Union Public Service Commission will fill 102 vacancies of Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist and Junior Hydrogeologies (Scientist B) posts. The Commission is conducting the Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination, 2022 on 20 February 2022. Candidates who will get minimum passing marks from the Prelims Exam will be called for Main Exam which will be held on 25.06.2022 and 26.06.2022.

UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist & Geologist Exam Selection Process

The Combined Geo-Scientist Exam will consist of three successive stages:

Stage-I- Computer Based Combined Geo-Scientist (preliminary) Exam (objective Type) having two papers for selection of the aspirants for the Combined CGS (Main) Exam. The marks secured in the Prelims Exam will be counted for deciding the final merit.

Stage-II: Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination (Descriptive Type) having three papers for the selection of candidates for the Personality Test (Stage-III). Marks secured in the Main Examination will be counted for deciding the final merit; and

  • UPSC Geo-Scientist Main Exam Date- 27th and 28th June 2022

Stage-III: UPSC Geo-Scientist Personality Test/Interview.

UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Cutoff marks: Previous Year (minimum qualify marks)

Cut-off marks are the minimum marks obtained by the candidates to get qualified in the exam and be able to appear for the next level of examination.

The candidate who will secure marks above the minimum cutoff marks will be shortlisted for the Union PSC Geo-Scientist post.
