विभाग ने लेखपाल के कुल रिक्त 8085 पदों पर चयन हेतु ऑनलाइन आवेदन आमंत्रित किये थे। इस विज्ञापन के सापेक्ष कुल 1390305 अभ्यर्थियों द्वारा अपने आवेदन पत्र सबमिट किये गये है। आयोग द्वारा प्रारंभिक अर्हता परीक्षा 2021 के अंतर्गत अभ्यर्थियों के वास्तविक स्कोर या नॉर्मलाइज्ड (Normalised) स्कोर में शून्य या शून्य से कम /नकरात्मक (Negative) स्कोर प्राप्त करने वाले अभ्यर्थियों को शॉर्टलिस्टिंग से पृथक करते हुए Normalised स्कोर के आधार पर श्रेणीवार 15 गुना अभ्यर्थियों को लेखपाल मुख्य परीक्षा हेतु सफल घोषित किया है। लेखपाल मुख्य परीक्षा में कुल 247667 अभ्यर्थी शामिल होंगे।
लेखपाल पदों के लिए आवेदन करने वाले समस्त अभ्यर्थी मुख्य परीक्षा हेतु अर्हता सम्बन्धी परिणाम आयोग की वेबसाइट के Homepage के Result Segment पर जाकर अपना व्यक्तिगत विवरण अंकित कर देख सकते है।
लिखित परीक्षा में सम्मिलित होने हेतु अभ्यर्थी को अनिवार्य रूप से अपनी श्रेणी यथा अनारक्षित व OBC 200 रूपये तथा एससी व एसटी 80 रूपये के अनुसार ऑनलाइन शुल्क जमा करना होगा।
